Conclusion In this brief discussion we have not been able to address the arguments exhaustively. Two conclusions, however, can be affirmed. 1. We have discovered an established interpretative tradition, supported in a wide range of first-century Palestinian sources, which appeals to prophetic judgement and restoration texts in holding that the present Temple must be destroyed.
